Description:
HIRAKU 3MT Competition is exciting opportunity for Ph.D. students to effectively explain their research and future vision with a single slide in limited three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Eligibility:
Doctorate Students in any fields at Hiroshima University, Yamaguchi University, Tokushima University, kayama University, Shimane University, Tottori University, Ehime University, Kagawa University, Kochi University, Naruto University of Education, Gifu University, Prefectural University of Hiroshima, Hiroshima City University, Hiroshima International University, Ritsumeikan University and National Institute of Genetics
*Presenters will get their commuting expenses reimbursed where applicable.
Number of Presenters/Section:
Approximately 20 presenters for Japanese Section / 10 presenters for English Section
*Approximately 30 presenters in total. You can apply to both sections. We might conduct pre-screening process in case we receive excessive number of applicants.

What’s Three Minutes Thesis (3MT©)?
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students around the world. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), the competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The first 3MT competition was held at UQ in 2008 with 160 Research Higher Degree students competing. In 2009 and 2010 the 3MT competition was promoted to other Australian and New Zealand universities and enthusiasm for the concept grew. Since 2011, the popularity of the competition has increased and 3MT competitions are now held in over 600 universities and institutions across 59 countries worldwide.
